The Hoogland Family Foundation has contributed to a number of philanthropic organizations and causes for four generations. These gifts have primarily been focused on the Hoogland Family's commitment to enhancing education, natural conservation, and the improvement of medicine. At it's core, The Hoogland Family Foundation focuses on Local contributions that can make long-term global change.

Charities & Organizations the HFF Supports
Leading the fight against lymphoma, the most common adult blood cancer. Raised over $13M through campaigns since 2012.
Round It Up for lymphoma campaign raised $4M, enabling Sonali Smith, MD, to launch Hoogland Lymphoma Biobank in 2013.
This program introduces students to core business disciplines: financial reporting, finance, marketing, operations, and organizational behavior.
Established to foster creativity and provide affordable space for arts organizations and people of all ages to engage in the arts.
Educational grant to private, liberal arts college in Hillsdale, Michigan.
The Hoogland Family strongly believes in the conservation of natural American Lands and has committed to preserve lands in Northern Michigan
Supporting Dr. Ron Levy’s breakthrough research in lymphoma. The Hoogland Lymphoma Fund provides Dr. Levy’s research and clinical trials the flexibility to enhance remission rates and improve quality of life for patients.
Pledge used for the Sangamon Auditorium, TRAC, and UIS in general. Creating a state of the art recreation and athletic center.
Contributed to build the Gus & Flora Kerasotes Branch of the YMCA, serving more than 8000 families in Springfield, Il and surrounding communities.

Hoogland Family Protects Northern Michigan Nature Preserve

The Hoogland Family Foundation donated to this preserve. The Hoogland family wanted to protect some of the lands that have been part of their family’s summer vacations for decades. The preserve lies just above the Lake Michigan shore in a region with rapid growth because of its high desirability for summer homes.

$5 million gift from Hoogland family to name Vanderbilt undergraduate business minor

The Hoogland family’s support has long been instrumental to our undergraduate business offerings, and we are so appreciative of everything they have made possible. The Hooglands’ gift is part of a robust tradition of Vanderbilt philanthropy for the couple, both 1982 graduates of the College of Arts and Science.
